IMGA Launches Operator Qualification Training Program
With the
assistance of APGA's Security and Integrity Foundation and with
the support of the Illinois Commerce Commission, IMGA has
organized an Operator Qualification Training Program. This
first year of the program there will be five sessions beginning
in June 2008 and ending in March 2009. More sessions will
be added in following years. Sessions will be held in both
Auburn, IL and Pinckneyville, IL for the convenience of our
members. More information can be found in the training

IMGA Featured in Municipal League Publication
A recent article in the Illinois Municipal Review featured the Interstate Municipal Gas Agency. The Review, which is the flagship publication of the Illinois Municipal League, included the article, written by IMGA General Manager Mark Schmidt and Operations Manager Heather Viele, in its March, 2007 edition. The article has also been selected for reprinting and inclusion in a prestigious legal publication, Current Municipal Issues, published by Thompson-West publishing.
IMGA MEMBERS....
In Their Own Words!
"It's
important to remember that the IMGA is a non-profit unit of municipal
government, created BY municipal governments specifically to SERVE municipal
governments." --John Watret, Utility Manager,
Franklin, Illinois.
"The
biggest benefit of the IMGA is that we are all allowed to hold onto our own
identity. Each purchase is set up for our specific town, not all towns in
general. The Agency knows our specific situation and works to meet our
needs." --Carol Mitchell, Mayor, Tamms, Illinois.
"The most
important thing I've learned is that I actually trust the people I'm working
with. I can trust them for accurate pricing information, and for the
latest on what's going on in the market. IMGA gives us the knowledge we
need, the service we trust." --Linda Viola, Office Manager, Riverton,
Illinois.
