the request of our members, IMGA organized an Operator Qualification Training

OQ Training Brochure.
Through both written tests and hands on demonstrations, these sessions will
provide training and evaluation for small system operators in order to increase
their knowledge, skills and abilities. This enhancement of knowledge,
skills and abilities will assist operators in preventing, mitigating and
repairing damage to a gas distribution system.
Sessions are centrally located to our members and will be held in both Auburn,
IL and Pinckneyville, IL. The same tasks will be covered at both
locations. The one day sessions will begin at 9:00 am and conclude at 5 pm.
The registration fee will include professional qualification and evaluation over
the covered tasks, classroom facilities, materials and lunch. A
certificate will be issued upon completion of each session.
Three
sessions will be held during the next year with the first session in December 2011
and the final session in March 2012. Topics that will be covered are:
Leak Investigation
Corrosion Control
Damage Prevention
